came across some psychedelic history, i think those here may find interesting. if anyone has more detail on psychedelics being used on the battle field, please do share.. would like to learn more about this. i think they go hand in hand, relating to how they can put the warrior in a trance state of no fear.

Of course, the Zulu might never have vanquished the British at Isandlwana without the help of traditional Zulu medicines. Some scholars have suggested that Zulu pharmacopoeia provided more of a psychological boost than any real physiological effect. But recent scientific studies show that the medicines contained some very potent drugs. For example, warriors were given a cannabis (marijuana)-based snuff to take during battle. Analysis of the snuff has revealed that it contained extremely high levels of THC, a powerful hallucinogen, and yet no detectable levels of the chemicals that cause the sedative effects of marijuana.

Also in the Zulu war medicine chest: the bulb of a flower in the Amaryllis family, called Boophane disticha, or the Bushman Poison Bulb. Studies have shown that the bulb -- which was also used by southern Africans to help mummify bodies -- contains buphanidrine, an alkaloid, like codeine and morphine (although it is not related to them) with hallucinogenic and pain-killing properties. According to botanist Ben-Erik van Wyk of Rand Afrikaans University in Johannesburg, South Africa, the dosage of buphanidrine necessary to reduce pain is very close to the toxic dose, "but in a very experienced traditional healer's hands it should be safe. They usually assess the strength of a bulb by testing it on themselves."

In addition, warriors sometimes ingested a hallucinogenic mushroom containing a toxin called muscimol. The chemical, present in fly agaric -- a mushroom that can attract and kill flies -- is said to induce a state of expanded perception in those who ingest it. Warriors who consumed those mushrooms, researchers speculate, might have been utterly without fear, believing themselves impervious to British bullets. http://www.pbs.org/wnet/secrets/case_zulu/clues.html

I'm sure someone must have posted this link before but it is well worth seeing.......though I think the British army abandoned any thought of using this substance on the battlefield!:D

The CIA definitely looked into LSD and other psychedelics, and even tested them on soldiers from the 40s, up to and throughout the Vietnam war.

It is a very important fact i think to realise that the CIA completely abandoned their LSD research after they failed to find any use for it, one of the most miraculous mind altering chemicals ever discovered, did not serve any aspect of their agenda

it's very hard for me to believe that all that work was scrapped. i highly doubt that as a truth. even if lsd was abandoned, other drugs are likely used in the same sense. shulgin, imo, did the leg work for cia types. no secret cia is and was a drug running organization, amongst many other 'things', so of course they would take measures to hide sensitive truths from the public.

i've read a few reports from different people claiming cia's connection to mind programming with drugs, specifically the work done by a fritz springmeir and cisco wheeler in their book.. 'how to create a mind controlled slave', and even information in books by a brice taylor.. among others.

ever see the movie.. with mel gibson conspiracy theory? remember that scene when he was givin brain gravey/lsd?... well, thats the shit the cia is into, which are all rooted in research done by nazi's..

But look at the video of the soldiers, they are all giggling and falling over, the CIA have an agenda of control and domination, and LSD is the antithesis of that in many ways

Im sure they use all kinds of drugs but i would be amazed if they had any use whatsoever for the psychedelics

I highly recomend that you guys check out the book Acid Dreams, by Martin A Lee &Bruce Shlain. Its an amazing social history of LSD, from its discovery through to about the 80's. The first part of the book, which focuses on the US military and CIA/FBI/FDA experimentation with acid for a whole range of goals, from a weapon of mass disorientation to a truth drug to a mind control serum.

The book also touches on a whole host of other drugs and chemicals that were also experimented and tested, among them being the super-hallucinogen BZ, or 3-quinuclidinyl benzilate. Here's the wiki article if you want some info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3-quinuclidinyl_benzilate. Its scary stuff, and apparently the US has enough stocked to drive the worlds population completely psychotic several times over.

info has been published regarding weed being more of a catalyst drug for military uses.. and psychedelics being very important. there are more then a few who have reported being affected by psych. drugs under the wing of cia. that type of agency would use pyschedelic drugs to force 'ego death'; thus allowing them to rewire the 'subjects' brain using sophisticated mind programming techniques.. maybe even some of the same techniques utilized by the charles manson.

They are having ball - Give it to all combatants and take away the weapons. It wouldn't be much of a war but a rather lovely peace!
