Has anyone tried psychedelics doses significantly higher than normal? For instance, supposedly the _very_ high doses of LSD in the late 60s was around 1200 ug. Has anyone tried 2000 ug or 3000 ug? What about 10 g or 20 g of shrooms or 200 mg of DMT or large fractions of a gram of 80x+ salvia?

i dont think anyone ever knows the doses of acid they are taking, how would you know without a scale to weigh it on?
the strongest experience i ever had was with 2grams dried mushrooms with 1.5 grams syrian rue to potentiate it, that is as extreme as i ever want to go  , it left me psychologically wrecked for months afterwards
and salvia experiences are often grouped into 6 levels of intensity, where the 6th level is 'amnesic', the experience is so powerful that you completely forget it, and that can happen even at ordinary doses, increasing the dose beyond an amnesic experience seems pointless

Back in 1997, for approximately two years, I had a good friend who had a direct connection to a chemist who was producing lsd. Supposedly, the blotter was carefully prepared to contain 80ug per hit. In a fit of curiosity -- and perhaps stupidity -- I decided to take 25 of the hits at once.
What a great ride. :) I didn't experience any abnormal side effects, but I felt like I was tripping very hard for at least two days. On the second day, I also had quite a bit of ketamine (which was absolutely my favorite combination of psychedelic substances).
I don't recommend high doses like this unless all of the following are true:
1) you have some idea as to the potency of your blotter (at least qualitatively but preferably quantitatively)
2) you are an experienced lsd user
3) you don't mind tripping extremely hard for a while
I had more trouble on a different occasion taking only 2 gel tabs (as described in my thread Torture Hell and the Brink of Insanity (http://www.thegrowreport.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=834); I really don't understand how that it turned out that way. For a long time, I suspected lsd had a long-term cumulative effect (eg, maybe my two thousandth hit sent me over the edge), but I've since read that that is almost certainly not the case, at least not physically.
Best! haji
