I had it, but somehow it seems to be missing from my shelf.
It's a fantastic book, rammed with quality facts and science. It really gets to the nitty-gritty, covering historical usage, hash geography, methods of manufacture, and the obligatory mouth-watering pics :)
If you want to be definitively clued-up and be able to dispel any urban myths that come your way, I'd recommend this book.

Disclaimer: The Dopefiend network and it's subscribers appear to be fans of modern hybrid weed. As the title suggests, Hashish! doesn't really deal with weed. If you are of the "if it's not bud it's not good" disposition, this book may not interest you.

thanks, is it mostly page after page of reading? can you tell me a bit more about it? im thinking of getting it but im not really a book person so would like to get as much info as i can before i get it, would ths sort of book be in/avalible at a uk libary?

read it ages ago so cant remember exactly whats in it good read though

must have for any collection , made some hash yesterday so now you reminded me gonna dig that book out and have another look

highly recomended :)

i know somewhere in it it lists hash imported into the uk in the early eighteis (pre shitbar days) there was a few on the list im sure i sampled :), wish it was as easy now

There's plenty of pics and the text is broken up with lots of tables and graphs. You can dip in and out as you please. Don't think there's much chance of finding it in the library though!

i have it ..a lot of it is the historical uses of the herb throughout eastern and mediterrean countries ..but as you near the end it has some interesting reading on making hash using the ice method ..old news these days but still a worthwhile read for any conniseurs out there ...a lot of it seems to stem from laurence cherniaks great book of hash vol 1 ..another interesting read
