Another show I started listening to right after I heard Dopefiend recommend it was The JDR Show, which comes out of Colorado. Recently, some State/Federal enforcement agency decided to raid JDR's premises-seizing personal property and also the computers used for making the podcast.

After reading their update I'm wondering exactly what drug-enforcement agency is this? It sounds like a group of privately-funded contractors or unemployed bounty hunters that just decided to create jobs for themselves and started raiding medical marijuana grow sites. Also, wouldn't there be any 1st Amendment implications of basically forcing a podcast to shutdown? Surely this opens a can of worms the state didn't anticipate.

I've been wondering why the podcast hasn't been coming through. I wonder if the other Colorado based podcast is going to run into problems, they seem to be lax in their smoking live shows.

I've never listened to the JDR show - what's it about?

From what I read it sounds like they busted the grow opp and not for doing his show. They take the computers so they can track what forums and what people they talk to. They do use the information to find other growers and supporters of medical marijuana. I have read this group is one of the worst around, they break the law and nobody stops them. This is just wrong and as one who hangs his ass our there I think the First amendment is still safe (for now anyway).

This is number reason why I stopped growing too for Mrs. Z & myself. So they could not stop us from doing the show. Only illness can stop that. hehehe

If anyone hears more let me know please.

Peace

Nothing amazes me any more. This seems to be the fad now a days. Our freedom has been taken away from us little by little. Look at this bill that is being passed in the US as we speak. It would be a very good idea for all of us to research this:
