View Full Version : Keeping Your Mother Alive

Thought I'd start a thread on this.

What is the best way to keep a mother plant alive for a long time with little effort?

What space does one need to take an average of four to eight cuttings every two months off of?

What is the most economical lighting to use? What wattage? How much time per day is required?

Is it easier to keep it in soil or a single hydro unit? (Explain)

What nutrients are required?

That should be enough to get this discussion started, pictures are encouraged.

Thanks for the link llamabox.

I've seen this on the "old" overgrow web site years ago and was thinking about recreating it here on our fourm. Now I don't have to. :)

It seems radical to cut the roots like ALL ABOUT BONSAI MOMS (http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=31919) shows, but it does work.
