Digust - "Shrooms" movie in Ireland

Hey everyone, not sure if anyone is aware of this but here in Ireland there is some really shitty movie coming out called "Shrooms" and the slogan is, get this, "Get Ready to Get Wasted". It's about some tourists who go shroom hunting in the woods in Ireland, trip and get murdered by some crazy inbred locals or something. As if people's attitute to entheogens and our spiritual right to take them needed to be clouded with utter liquid shit any more than it already has. Anyway I just wanted to vent... I have found the director's production company here in Dublin and have just emailed pretending that I want to write an article about him for my college paper. Once I get his address I'm going to give him a face full of psychedelic indignation, the smug little fucker. :D

Nah...not a new reefer madness....saw this a few weeks ago (it can be downloaded off the net). Just a really substandard horror film that has an easy to guess murderer and a really crap made up angle about a type of shroom that is similar to the "good" ones that causes some bad experiences. I think the Irish would find it more insulting as two irish characters that live in the woods wouldn't be out of place in Deliverance....in fact they would freak those guys out. Nothing to get hot under the caller about just a really poor horror film which (if you listen to the mondo movie podcast) was booed at it's premiere because it is just a bad film.:)

Yea I thought it seemed pretty bad, it's really the slogan on the posters that pisses me off more than anything. I hate the notion of people taking shrooms to get "wasted", that's one of the reasons people end up jumping off buildings and provoke an overreaction from society... anyway I'm still going to write that email.

after reading this thread yesterday i sat back to watch some tv and there it was a advert for the film in cinemas soon, worth a watch or not?

Hey, was gonna post about this too. Yeah, not surprised about the content, but it does piss me off that on every second bus in London there's a advert for it with the idiotic slogan review "like Blair Witch on acid". They've stolen the nickname too, so now will be associated with this. :mad:

It's propaganda i tells ya :rolleyes: tell the truth the only people it will affect are unbalanced teenagers into horror flicks who may take shrooms mixed with alcohol, freak out, murder an elderly couple and then shrooms will be banned forev...oh

Yeah the above must sound a bit stoned but haven't smoked for, mmmm, three days at least, nor any psychedelics, so must be a slingshot effect or summat....
