Dopecast 100th Episode gathering in Amsterdam! [Archive]

You may have been following the goings-on over at QN's section, but it's now official: QN, The Toker, Max Freakout, Salvia Kid, myself and as many of you as we can gather will all be in Amsterdam to hit the coffeeshops and record the 100th episode of the Dopecast.

The Toker and I'll be there from October 19th-21st, and the others are staying an extra night I think. If you can make it, we'd love to see you there!

The actual 100th episode itself will be recorded at:

the Cannabis College on Saturday 20th October.

Join us there at 1pm!

but keep an eye on this thread as that may change closer to the time.

come the 100th show i will be 18 and may very well be on my half term break from college, if i am i will seriously consider coming along. How much would i be looking to spend on accommodation at a hostel for say 2 nights? Could anyone suggest me a realistic budget? for that amount of time.

It was not only my first time at the Flying Pig, but also my first time in a hostel of any sort! I'm one of those types that happen to always stay in 4*-5* accommodation and although the Flying Pig was a rough start, I'm glad I didn't flee on the first night to the comfort of a hotel....I really enjoyed it and just loved the lounging area downstairs so I'll definately be back there for Dopestock 2008!

we first went back in 2003, and have stayed there ever since.
in feb we noticed they had done up the downstairs lounge, tis great to chill in hey.

so its turns out im working in eastern france for a month or so, im not sure when i'll finish or where abouts. if i can i will keep it in mind to train up to a'dam for the meet, like i said before,

if not, have a great one everybody! i'll be jealous.

catching a 02:00 ferry from Dover on the 19th October and if all goes well
we should be in the Dam by between 09:00 and 10:00. I've probably got space
for 3 people. Yourself and the Toker have probably booked flights already
but if there's any other London or UK listeners, they are welcome to bum a
lift on the Dam road trip! I am returning at 23:58 on Monday the 22nd. Hope
you had some good high times in Vancouver - I've been there and its an

My mates and I are crashing at the Hostel Meetingpoint. Its pretty basic but fucking cheap! Worked out at £40 for each of us for 3 nights. Not bad at all

Seems to good to be true, but I should be booking my airfare to amsterdam tomorrow! Doing 3 nights in Paris first, then hopping on a train to the dam on Tuesday, staying thru until Saturday night! Cannot wait everyone. First time there, and with loads of great people :)

I now know for certain, I will be attending the 100th episode gathering. Just purchased my airfare to Paris, and I'll be up in the Dam on the 16th thru the 21st! Booked an apartment through a site called CityMundo. This place is 2 blocks south of the Niewmarket, so I'm fairly certain that's a good location. My first trip to Amsterdam, so I'm glad I have 4 days of smoking and such before the event to ready myself!

Looking forward to chilling with you all. My internet is down, so I'll be coming on here about once a week for a little while it looks like. Peace!

I no this is my first post but been a listener since podcast 11.Religously listen every monday.Havnt joined the forum yet but glad i finally have, Also had to find out meeting info for the 100th episode.I missed the first dopestock and regret it.Cant Waite.Coming with a like minded friend.

Also i no my tag is so close to "The Toker" but its been that for about 4 years now and i cant change it.

Look forward to meeting people in the ideal surroundings, and a new forum to explore.

have fun guys. whish I could afford both the time and money but alas other pressing issues require me to stay here. I still have a valid passport. so you dont know where im gonna turn up.

I'll tell you this though I will be working my hardest to get to Amsterdam for 420. I had such a blast last year though. listening to the dopecast while toking infront of constables in the middle dundas square cameras and everything!

and to top it all off wining a herbal aire the following day! :D who needs Amsterdam when you got Toronto Hydro.

Hey guys, here is a nice little map so you can find the Cannabis College without being sucked into some stoner hamster wheel of endless alleyways and bridges, and saying "I'm sure I've been here before" hehehehe....

As far as I know so far, we'll meet you all outside the college at 1PM.

That was amazing. Amsterdam get's better every time I'm there! It was really nice to meet up with everybody. Sorry, I didn't get to chat to many people; The Toker and I were distracted by babbling nonsense to each other for a couple of hours. It was a shame we lost everybody after The Dolphins, I hope everybody had a wicked time.

My top Coffee Shops of the trip were Abraxus and The Dolphins. I feel really comfortable in both of these, and I love how Abraxus is down the little side alley.

Top weeds of my trip were Northern Lights 5x Haze (Rokerij), G-13 Haze (Barney's), and The Grass Hopper's Kali Mist. We had a bit of the Kali Mist just before heading out of Amsterdam. Very expensive but very nice too :).

I was also loving the Hash, but I had so much of it and it was all so nice it would be a dis-service to try and rate them. That, and I can't remember any of their names right now.

100th Dopecast

Happy`s plane was delayed until evening so we never met .Went to the podcast and it was grate really cool to see it all in action.was a grate bunch of people there as well. Got talking to one of the guys for a while and he had me in stitches .A quite eccentric American/ Canadian guy .Really easy to talk to and just seemed to lift the mood every time he laughed. Unfortunately we missed the last part of the live show bit. We were all toking constantly (we were smoking grey haze at the time).Me and my mate had really bad gammy mouth through smoking and not having anything todrink .SO when they had a break we said we are going for a drink and will be back soon .The nice laughing guy asked if we could bring back a coke for him .Well we hit a coffee shop just up the road, skinned up a quick j each .When we finally left i remembered i needed to take this guy back a coke .We walked to look for a nor mall shop found one and bought a coke .we then got a little lost but found our way back to the cannabis college in pretty good time .We entered to find no one there .Really pissed of that we missed the last part and were everyone was headed next but figured we would find them .Well we searched the closest coffee shops to no avale .Finally slum-pt into our normal routine off collapsing in the back of various coffee shops trying to motivate ourselves to get up and head to the next .Really pissed of that we didn't get to no were they were heading next as took a bit of a back seat at the podcast as we were enjoying it so much .My mate was actually panicking about going and i said all would be good, he loved it and was equally disappointed .

Never mind were booking up for 4:20

It was great to meet everyone in Amsterdam. I really enjoyed not only meeting all the cool podcasters, but also had a great time talking with a couple of guys from Oregon and some very affable chaps from the UK.

After hearing so many hours of the podcasts, I was pleased to be able to join in on the conversation and probably availed myself of that privilege too much, but these are conversations I don't get to have back home.

Anyway, great meeting everyone and thanks for organizing it.

Yeah I was on my way back to the train station for the start of a 3 train and a ferry journey of 12 hours. :( I was going to pop into Barney's as I knew that you would all be there for breakfast but I was cutting it really fine as I knew the trains were pretty slow and I had to get that ferry. So just smoked a fat one of all the bits I had left in the New Greenhouse place and pushed off. That joint BTW was near pure weed & hash and BIG and it had a mixture of Laughing Buddah, Arjan's super haze, Hawaiian Snow, Nepal Temple ball and G13 Haze so it kept me going for a bit :p:cool: and then :eek:. Roll on Dopestock 2.

Yeah, it was truly an amazing time, and a fitting end to my first journey into Amsterdam. Loved being there for a recording, chatting with the Dopefiend for a bit, and just generally having faces for all these people I have been listening to and chatting with for so long. Blazing Glory, thanks for passing all those marvelous reefers to me, I enjoyed chatting with you and your friend. He was quite entertaining. 7 straight hours of smoking high-quality bud took its toll on me, considering I am used to smoking once or twice a week. Headed back to our place, picked up a pizza and a six-pack, and watched some South Park before passing out. Probably good considering the 8 hour flight I had to wake up to.

Oh well, until next time! Would love to make it out for 4:20, but we'll see.

No worries dude, it was my pleasure. My mate was a bit nervous when we arrived at the Cannabis College but by the time we were in The Dolphins he was loving it! Can't wait for 4:20. Talking of which, a creepy coincidence occured on our way out to Amsterdam. We flew with KLM from Heathrow terminal 4, gate number 20. We only realised when we were actually getting on the plane and 420 was emblazzened on the gate in big red lettering!! Awesome.

Unfortunately, the only strains I can recognize are White Widow, maybe Mako Haze... But to my knowledge, I know that the following are in there:
