Hey Kids...

In the other thread you could see my poor, messed up salvia plant (http://www.thegrowreport.com/Forums/showpost.php?p=6749&postcount=7). I showed the same picture and a friend (online in Germany) told me I should remove the dead leaves. But she said to pull them off using my fingers. I wondering if cutting off the bruised, dying bits with a sterile pair of scissors might be a better option.

Any suggestions on how I might save my salvia plant. It seems to look worse today (3 days later) than the day it arrived.

Many thanks!!!

In my opinion if a sterile environment or utensil is available it's best to take advantage of it. No need to possibly introduce more problems than you already have.

Ooooh she doesn't look happy at all but in the new terrararium she looks much happier :)

I would also go for using a blade rather than fingers - less bruising and trauma to the plant as well...having said that, Hermit Girl just 'tips' them with her thumb nail pressed to the pad of her index finger but then again, us chicks have long(er) nails than most men....

Sending lots of healing vibes to your 'Sally' (that's what HG calls her plant)...

Heya BB,

Most of the super-dead leaves fell off of their own accord. I've got one left that I'm going to trim. She doesn't seem to be getting worse, or as if she's starting to wilt...so hopefully she's going to make a full recovery.

Thanks for the positive vibes, and for chiming in.

What about you, any chance you're going to have a salvia plant in the near future? It seemed like you talked about getting one in a pre-BBB podcast...like on the Sounds of BB or something? I might be dreaming.

And I imagine once you take a ride with her yourself, we're going to hear about it...cause she's just so....different...and...remarkable.

I'm looking forward to cultivating a more organic relationship with her, alongside maintaining her plant-body. So far I've only smoked plain and 10x enhanced leaves. As I told you before, I would like to try something closer to the Mazatec method, which was oral.

I've got some other SD plants coming from another source, who sort of "forgot" about my order from last May. If they come through, they will be sending them free of charge, and I'll be sure to "correct the record" on the thread where I mentioned them. But I'll only do so once I actually have the plants. Too bad I didn't live on an island off the coast of Melbourne. I'd climb into a kayak and paddle a couple over to you. :o

Be well sweet sister! See you 'round the forums and beyond!!

P.S. I just listened Dopecast 59 and I heard you and Mufungo! That was cool. BTW, the picture for that episode has a licence plate with the number "THC 420" lol, I wonder if it's real!
