Hello :)!

I really want to grow my own weed as I'm a) fed up with buying of dealers who'll under cut you, over charge you, turn up late (leaving you waiting in a car park from 8pm until 2am), deal you shit weed and b) fascinated by the idea of growing this wonderful plant. So I'm doing some preparation for a guerilla grow. I've just ordered "Marijuana Outdoors, Guerrilla Growing" by Jorge Cervantes and "Organic Marijuana, Soma Style: The Pleasures of Cultivating Connoisseur Cannabis (Marijuana Tips)" by Soma. Hopefully these will give me the instruction I need to actually grow the plants, but until they arrive I want to do some preparation.

Could anybody suggest some good, easy to grow, outdoor strains please? I've been looking at Kiwi Seeds (http://www.dampkring.nl/?handle=sys_application_root) outdoor range and I must say, I'm SO tempted by the "2 Pounder" but maybe I should start with something a bit more basic?

Also, as it's the weekend tommorow, I thought I'd do a little scouting for some good garden sites. Can anybody give me some suggestions for what I should be looking for?

This will be my first ever attempt at growing weed, so any and all advice/tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm not expecting to get big yields on my first attempt, but I really am fascinated by this plant and I want to see it grow out in the wild.

Thank you, very much,

BG

An idea I've been toying with is an outdoor grow, but with a light. Lights that come on a couple of hours before sunrise so as not to attract attention, temperate winter permitting of course.
The Cervantes book is excellent by the way. Try a cheap indica for your first attempt and don't forget to make the site very hard to get to, in the middle of a huge blackberry bush is a good one.
Oh yeah don't rule out growing up in a tree.

Cheers for the tips guys :). I've found a lovely spot today. Very difficult to get into and quite remote. I've never considered growing up a tree... intriguing. Really looking forward to getting stuck into these books when they get here. I do plant in spring, right?

Depends how big you want 'em to be come harvest. And your climate too of course. March/April = very big, June/July 1,5m-2,0m. Keep your eye on the weather.

For Guerrilla Growing there's a couple things you need to consider. One is access to a good water supply and another is animals, like deer, that love to eat young plants. Also, you might have to amend the soil.

I have a technique that has yeilded a couple of good harvests...
I had some bag seeds from some REALLY good unknown Herb.
I live in a sunshine state and have too many visitors to my house to grow indoors. But I have a fairly large back yard that is unkempt in the back half.
I also have a 8' x 8' tin shed for lawn mower, etc...
So I grow my plants in soil, in containers to keep them mobile.
If the time of the year doesn't match the cycle I want my plants to be, then I put them in the shed either without light to shorten the day, or with a 400 watt metal halide to lengthen the day.
I move my plants to keep them in a prime spot for light or I can make them inconspicuous or hide them in the shed depending on circumstances.
I know the risk is reduced by growing off-site , but I live in a Metropolitan sprawl of suburbs, and it seems no place is really secure from casual discovery.

im thinking of doing a guerrilla grow when it warms up, one thing im defiantly going to do is to start them of indoors, let them get about 6" tall then move them to were you are going to grow, this way there more likely to survive because you have gone by the germinating stage and its getting to a size it can start to look after its self a bit more, and still not to big to move around ie carrying

If you start them indoors than take em' outside you have to get em' use to the sun light.
For the first week that they're outside they should be put in the shade. (Indirect sun light.)
You have to get em' use to the stronger sun light or they might go into shock and die.

I saw and had to comment on this-
my friend found a huuuuggggee oak tree down here in texas and he took and ax way up in the tree to make large "pots for the plants" in the actual tree. He then took soil and everything up there and had a nice rope to climb up and water- I dont recommend the cutting out of the tree idea but if anyone can get some pots up there- you will get better sun if you live in areas covered in trees and disguise.

Oh, a whole thread on guerrilla growing, I see. And I stupidly started my own asking why there's nothing out there. Sorry I leaped before I looked.

It seems to me that keeping plants scattered - assuming one lives near enough places to scatter - is the ticket. And they should be quickly accessible so watering isn't a big deal. One needs to get in, water fast, and move away, spending a minimum of time in the vacinity of the plants. Even if most don't make it you'll still be in the green, because some will.

Last year was the first time I tried it (since I was 19). One of four plants was a male and it got moldy because I didn't dry it right. Two were killed by an early fall frost, but the third, it stayed up, and was good (because I knew how to dry it).

if you grow more plants then you will get more out of it- scatter two ar three here and there- accessible like you said- and then you will obviously get more bud. The more you grow the better you get at growing.

pretty self explanatory...ive heard of more rip off stories from guys who bragg about thier grows...nothing sux more than investing a whole summer of nurturing and paranoia....just to have some bozo come and rips your plants out of the ground...the worst part is alot of times they take them when they really have just started to mature....so ...

dont tell anyone...not even your own mother....lol:eek:

oh and never tell cops either...very bad idea:cool:

watering is guna be a huge issue so keep them kinda close or ditch a bucket away from them near a pond or river
