:confused:There are plenty of seed sites that will deliver to the U.S. but is this safe? Unfortunately I have no access to seeds other than bag seed from the readily available schwag in my area. Any suggestions?
If this is against the forum rules than I apologize and please ignore.

DF, please remove this if it falls under the MOM restriction
Sup Tex,
It's my understanding that it is reasonably safe to order/receive mailorder seeds; however, I've read many recommendations to:
- Not have them mailed to an address where you will be growing (indoor or outdoor)
- Have delivered to a friend who is not growing
- Find a mail service which will permit you to open a mailbox without and ID requirement (I don't know of any personally)
It may be worth your while to take a roadtrip to Vancouver to get your seeds. It could help with ensuring that you get good genetics (very important) to start out with. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it should be reasonably simple to bring them back either by car or mailing to yourself.
Either way there are risks involved and you have to decide for yourself. Overall, I'd rate the level of risk as a 3 - 4 (on a 10 point scale w/10 being high risk).
Best to you in whatever you decide to do.

Are there seed companies that still sell seeds to the public in Canada or is it all done over the internet?

I've read good things about these folks...Vancouver Seedbank (http://www.vancouverseedbank.ca/catalog/). You can get seeds and have a toke in their Vapor Lounge as well (i'm sure its a "bring your own herb" thing). The owner is a strong activist in British Columbia and the former editor of Cannabis Culture magazine. :)

Find a good source and order them. I know first hand that when some were ordered from the UK to the US last year, that not only did they arrive just fine, they threw in extra seeds from random strains.
I don't think this is the same cat. as MOM, since seedsman is a direct sponser of the dopefiend.co.uk network (too bad he doesn't send to US, but oh well).
If you are worried, don't get too crazy and get a post box or any of that crap, just order them under a good friends name and to their addresss, or just to your name at your parents address works as well ;)
Like Zandor said in his last grow report, if you are too scared to go to a grow store, then don't grow, not worth the stress.
My Mom, goes to an indoor grow store to get her garden supplies, and I even get her a gift certificate for the indoor grow shop each year for Christmas. She knows nothing about pot, and goes in to the store for very ligitamite reasons, do you think cops are writing her plates down because she picks up 10+ bags of Fox Farms Soil for her garden?
Order the seeds, don't advertise yourself, share a few clones with close friends and enjoy. I say share clones, because the more clones being shared, the more people are growing, the more people grow, the least amount of problems you have, cause no one becomes pot dealers if they are all self sufficient.

Hey TT, why not ask the seed company how they send out their stuff, if they don't state it on the site? Then you'll know at least what to expect through the post.

Yea I will do that, most of them say that they send it in just a plain envelope so I dont think it is too much of a risk. Ill post exactly where and how I get them, if I even do get them. That way if other people have the same questions they can look up this thread. Thanx for the advice guys

I think that you will find they use some very creative methods to conceal and protect the contents of your order. :)
Good luck, TT...I'm sure it will work out well.

Even if you get a nasty letter from customs (Don't reply, saw a very few of these on the old OG forum, compared to the number of orders they must have placed and nothing ever came from them that I heard of) remember the plausible deny ability, or whatever the term is. You can't control if random strangers send you, who knows what. You didn't break any laws. It isn't a crime to have a mail box.
Edit... Oh yeah. Please do not post how you got them exactly. Won't be very stealthy for others in the future, though I would imagine if Leo wanted to see how they come, he would just order his own pack.

I agree. Risk is minimal. most good seedbanks, Just send a simple package.
If they discover the contents...You generally get a notice that a parcel addressed to your addy was confiscated. At least that is my understanding. Also, as mentioned...If you are scared  then don't do it.
