Just stumbled across this guy's myspace...From what I'm hearing, this guy is picking up where Nick Drake left off, and adding his own amazing feel during the baton pass. He's going to go to some amazing places with this music really soon. My big tip for the future.
Simple, wonderful music. He also has an EP available for a few bucks, and I think he could do with some support :)

Thanks for sharing a link to this fantastic new artists....
I'd never even heard of Nick Drake up until recently when Double Doc dropped in at BB's Bungalow - turns out Nick Drake is a favourite of his which is why I also played Pink Moon in the background after chatting with Double Doc.
Am listening now to Emil Brynge's other tracks - very talented indeed!

Heck yea. Lots of talent there ready to go.
And sorry for the hijack but here is a friends local band. I totally forgot they had a myspace page with music. The deepEnd (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=58340063)

Really nice man, a bit of a young John Martyn perhaps (the "London Conversation" album). Just read that games are now out-selling music, perhaps music will go to a better place with self-promoted artists attracting a following rather just getting hyped.

That sounds good - I'll back anything that spells the end of Top 40 Video Clips

Oh god yes! That stuff aint good, it's just hyped! They spend MILLIONS making that crap look attractive to people. It's hum-drum nonsense...can't wait for 'pop to eat itself'!
My hope is that artists will rely increasingly on marketing their own stuff. The problem is, without some marketing machine, it takes longer for people to hear and buy their work. But I sense that there is coming, some kind of solution to that. Online communities are getting bigger, so that may be a solution, direct marketing to large groups of people, who then spread the word if they like it or not. I think people are much more discerning on the internet in general!
Here's to a brighter music future!
