Making alcohol drinks with weed??

I want to make some sort of tincture with my trim leaves. What are some of the best ways to do it?? I've heard that you can just stick some weed in with vodka or something and leave it for a couple of months, strain it then serve. Could you do the same with larger or would it have to be some strong type of spirit like vodka, whiskey etc?? Anyone know any other methods???

Use good quality vodka without additives like perfume and such, 60% or higher is best for making tincture and extracts and is to strong to be drunk strait, but will extract the medicinaland aromatic properties better. Lower alcohol content does also work, but takes longer time but can be kinder on some types of chemicals plants may contain. One can always jam a good sized flower branch in to a bottle of good vodka and let it sit several weeks and drink. But it is best to make a brew one know the strength of, it can be done like the following resepy.

Pack a mason jar with herb material such as leaves, stems or flower tops of the herb you want to flavor your drink with. Pour in alcohol until cowered and let it sit in a dark place for at least a week.
Strain and press the liquid out in to a new jar or bottle, one can do a second extraction of the plant material with new alcohol if one want but it is not absolutely necessary.
The strained liquid may be used to extract one more batch of herb to make a really strong alcoholic tincture. Be careful with this kind of tincture as there is a real danger of overdosing.
The tincture I here describe is meant to bee used for flavouring drinks in drops at the time and can be used to make schnapps, bitters, and shot’s, or in vines and beers. Also take care to keep a good record of amounts so a dosage may be guessed at with some accuracy.

Theres a much better and more accurate way to tincture cannabis.

here's a basic recipe that I've used and its really nice.

What you need:

1/8th of bud
2oz Bacardi 151 (or anything with an extra high alc vol)
tin foil
mason jar

grind up an 1/8 of quality bud. spread it across a sheet of foil and bake in the oven at 325 (<- its important that you use this temp, MJ vaporizes at 375) degrees for five minutes.

Then, put the baked ground up bud in a mason jar and add 2oz of Bacardi 151. simmer the mason jar in a bath of water (put the jar inside a pot on the stove) at about 175 (this is hard to find because most stoves just have low med high) for about 20 minutes.

about an oz of bacardi will be left because some will have evaporated, strain the bacardi through a strainer or paper towel. 1oz = 30 ml and 1ml is a hit.

use an eye dropper to get your hit, I inject it into beer and it tastes great! like a nice sweet floral flavor.
