What do you think, Doc? Is she gonna make it? This has been going on now for approx. 2 weeks and it is slowly getting worse. Whole bottom leaves including its stem just seem to be falling off, as almost if it were just closing itself off from the main stem of the bean. The leaves are still plenty green and I've seen way worse leaves still living while these are dropping at a somewhat alarming rate. Thanks in advance!

Strain of Mj?
(1) Narpal & (3) Afghani #1
Hydroponic or soil?
Soil
From seed or clone?
Seed
Age of plant in question?
88 days
What stage (Veg/Flower; how many days into)?
Flower - 30 days
Medium (Soil, Rockwool, Hydroton etc.)?
Black Gold Organic Soil + Amendments (EWC, half strength lime, guano, kelp)
Container/Pot size?
3 gallon
Have they been transplanted, if so how long ago?
Yes - 33 days ago
If soil, composition ratios (peat moss, perilite, vermiculite etc.)?
12 gal. Black Gold, 4 TBS Dol. Lime, 6 TBS powdered seaweed extract 1-1-16, 4 TBS High P guano 1-10-.2, 3 TBS Peruvian Seabird guano 11-13-3, 8 TBS EWC (earthworm castings), perlite
Water runoff Ph?
N/A
Nutrients added?
Organic Teas
Ratios of nutrients (N% P% K%)?
(Per gallon) 1 cap Maxicrop liquid, 1.5 TBS Liquid Karma, 2 TBS Horticultural molasses, 1 TBS EWC, 1.5 TBS High P guano 1-10-.2, bubbled for 24-48 hrs. prior to use.

Clean RO water is used when making the teas. Water collected from a portable AC standup unit is used to "cut" the teas to half-strength. There is some sort of free floating aerobic algae/biofilm growing in the collection tub. Aerobic algae should be beneficial to my soil environment, or so I've read. Some of this water was used to feed in Veg and resulted in NO ill effects at any time.
Feeding schedule?
Tea with 95% of all waterings since 3 weeks of age
When were they last fed/watered?
Approx. 22 hours ago
How are you determining when to feed/water (weight, wilting, etc.)?
Look at soil color/texture, slight wilting - approx. every 3rd day
TDS/EC/PPM?
N/A
Tap/RO/Distilled water?
Always RO
Ph before and after adding nutrients?
Never calculated pH except for 1 watering 3 weeks ago - pH'd to 6.5
Is your Ph equipment properly calibrated?
Yes
Light intensity/Age of bulb/Wattage?
(12) 24W, 3500K Max-Life CFL's
Distance to the canopy?
6" - 12"
Temps at canopy?
79-82 F
Temps at root zone or reservoir?
N/A
Day/Night temps (Min.-Max.)?
Day 77-79 F / Night 72-73 F
Current air flow (CFM)?
Unknown
Is there air blowing directly onto plant?
Yes - the canopy and the base of the beans
Using CO2?
No
Relative humidity?
45%
Growing technique (Scrog, Sog, Supercropping etc.)?
Some branches tied back
Has plant recently been pruned, clones taken, fimmed or pinched?
Cloned 36 days ago and 27 days ago, Clonex gel, anti-wilt
Pests?
None (knock on wood)
Chemicals used to irradicate?
N/A

ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

The ballast capacitor exploded and therefore CFL's are being used. The problem is being corrected.

Help save this beautiful bean!!!!!!!

Clarification:

The dying bottom fan leaves are from the Afghani #1 as well as the reddish spots up top. The Narpal is showing some reddish colored spots but no sign of the yellowing leaves like the Afghani.

Some bottom leaves are turning a darkened yellow and then completely brown within 24-36 hours. Again, it looks as though the affected stem is just closing itself off from the main stem of the bean. Leaves have no rigidness at all. The leaf could be pinched and rotated more than 360 degrees and does not break. Completely flexible and almost feels damp. Not really wet but just that certain texture.

Should I be using some sort of silicate or is it too late for that?

ANYONE? Hello? Is this thing on?

Here's some pics from 10 minutes ago...

Larger fan leaves that seem somewhat healthy still dropping and separating from the main stalk.

Green-->Pale Yellow-->Brown-->Fall off

I know leaves will fall off toward the end of the bloom cycle but this is happening way too fast IMO!!

Does anyone make it down this far on the forum list??

This is ONLY happening at the top of the beans, not the bottom. So...that would tell me that there is some sort of immobile deficiency, correct?

Any ideas? Bueller? Bueller?

sorry dude i cant realy help you havent seen anything like that before but i do no that is not from the plant useing the stored nutrients from the leaves, the whole leave would go very pale yellow and shrivel before the plant would shed them.
good luck dude hope zandor can help you :(

Thanks for the reply Tink. I don't know what's going on. I've seen leaves that were way worse than these still firm on the main stem. These just drop off while the leaf still looks somewhat healthy.

I'm actually starting to panic eventhough I told myself to just chill out. Can't help it. All the hard work.........

Hey EL; sorry dude work has been a bitch still so not much free time to chat.

What I see in your pictures is a Manganese immobile problem. This has also caused a problem with Fe & Zn minerals too.

Keep your root zone temperature in the low 70's. Balance your Ph and add Dolomite lime as directed. Next raise your humidity it's to low and causing the plant to transpire and that will draw more Mn into the leaf and this is what you get.

You may want to flush with something like flora-kleen or a product like that for a few days. Then balance your Ph and add the Dolomite lime and raise the Humidity so your plants don't transpire. If you can try to control their environment a little closer or you risk problems with the inner-nodes of all your plants too.

Peace

Thanks Z...no worries, bro. The beans were flushed last night. When you say use "lime as directed", do you mean to top-dress the soil? I'm not sure how much is needed for top-dressing. 1TBS, 2TBS?

Thanks for all the help and keep up the good work.

Oh, and I think Zippy or Zippy the Sativa Squirrel should be in the running for the mascot name. Haha.....take care.

Dolimite Lime is use to raise the Ph of your soil if you need it. Most boxes have a scale based on the size of your container. It's easy to add a little more to raise the Ph then it is to take some back out if you did too much.

You dig down about 4-6 inches add a couple of T spoons and then mix it in. Give them a water to settle the soil back down. Check the Ph again in about 24 hours and adjust as nessary.

Once you get it set the buffers should hold the Ph. Make sure you Ph your water after you add nutrients because they can and will raise or lower your Ph on their own.

Peace

Z
