somebody told me that the problem with using this "smokeless cigarette" technology to make portable vaporizers for cannabis is the temperature: apparently tobacco vaporizes at a much lower temp than cannabis- around 125 Celcius instead of 185.

That extra 60 degrees is just too much temperature to generate from a small battery without you having to replace it for every hit. So the only real option so far, other than carrying a big battery pack around with you, is to go with something that uses a gas-powered heating element instead of an electrical one. A gas-powered portable vape has just come on the market this week, and I'm trying to convince the manufacturers to let me review it, and if it's any good, to let me buy some at cost price so I can sell them on to you lot cheap. So far they're still thinking about it, but I'll keep you informed!

I think in the future they will make electric cigarettes with THC cartridges and with a battery powerful enough to vaporize THC. You might find this has been done in Amsterdam or may well soon or why don't they make some sort of legal high e-cig. I can't see a THC e-cig in the uk for a long time because of legal issues with it. But i think the best hope is to see what the I-inhale portable vaporizer is like tho.
