Does anyone else have a problem popping bags. I swear I pop every second bag and it's starting to really piss me off. I love my HA but this one little nuisance is causing me to seriously consider investing in a Volcano.
I truly believe the HA is more efficient than the Volcano but with the popping bags, tubes and extra large pump the HA has become kind of fiddly. Not to mention trying to refill the red hot crucible is down right dangerous. I wonder if S&B will accept a HA as a trade-in?

The problem your having with poping bags might have something to do with the "extra large pump". I'm still using the air pump that came with my HA and haven't popped a bag yet. As for the "hot crucible", you could get an extra set of crucibles and that would take care of that problem :)

I freely admit the problem with popping bags is that I "lose focus" and allow the bag to pop. If I could pay attention properly the problem wouldn't exist - but apparently I can't. My point is that the device should be more stoner friendly.
Do you sit there and watch the bag fill each and every time?

The extra large pump was actually a very good upgrade for the HA - IMHO. It reduced my fill time by about five minutes. I had the exact same problem when I was still using the pump that came with the HA.

Also, popping a bag can take a couple of different forms... The bag may just pop! or the bag may come away from the mouth piece resulting not in a pop but simple air release. OR the worst case is when the little plastic piece sticking up out of the HA comes out and the air from the pump spreads herb everywhere.

I think you need to get a slower pump. Preferably one with less psi maybe reduce it by 60-100. If you loose focus on the HA then you'll defiantly pop a few volcano bags. Have you tried direct draw? (always remove your cork)

I usually make my bags out of official volcano roll and some zip ties. 10 dollars are roll you can make 4-6 bags its fairly economical and zip ties are next to nothing.

I'm usually patient with my first then I just put another bag half way I'm done my first that way I have a bag ready when I'm done my original.

Or if I'm really impatient I'll use the direct draw.

I can agree with you on one thing dan. People with ms or any muscle condition can't really use the HA bag system that well. The volcano is probably the easiest to handle and I would own one if I kept company on a regular basis at home.

But for now the HA does the job quiet well and I'm glad that you agree with me that its more economical than the volcano. :)

I have an idea for a suitcase like carrying case for the HA. It would be designed in such a way that allows you to setup and tear down very quickly. I want to be able to whip this baby out, plug it in, vape and put it away with as little effort as possible and as quickly as possible.
I can't always set the whole HA deal up to enjoy a good vape. I am considering the i Inhale for the same reason.

a small carrying case should be good enough. I got travel case for mine. found it in the about to be thrown out trash. I can fit my unit, bits, 2-3 bags, and pump. go to a travel shop or any place that sells brief cases.

Is everything secured in the case such that you can use it without unpacking it?
I have people running around my house that I don't want to explain the purpose of the HA to. So I need to be able to pull it out rather quickly and put it away equally quick.

Got my Herbal Aire from the fine folks a GrateVape and when I ordered a spare mouthpiece kit they sent an extra crucible at no charge ! (now have total of 3) My thanks to Stephen a GrateVape.
Can hardly wait to use it with my next harvest which should be within the next few weeks. Skunk/Haze, White Widow, Afgaan, Skunk #1, Mandala #1, Speed Queen. I also grew out some bag seed and got 3 different phenotypes. An indica and 2 sativas and one of the sativas turned a nice shade of purple.

How long do you tend to make your bags?

I have a Volcano, and I tried a few ridiculously long bags for fun, but I seem to have settled down to about a two foot tie-off.

Is that roughly standard?

i make two sizes , a two footer for just my self and a 4ft one for me and the missus ..seems about right for us personally ..but i did make a massive full roll one when i got the herby machine ...took a while to fill it up and it was ridiculously noisy and cumbersome to handle ..did get us mashed though :D
