I'm gonna be there. I've booked from the 17th until the 21st. Flight and hostel booked, now all I need to do is renew my passport. That's gonna cost me as much as five nights at the flying pig! Damn this biometric crap

[QUOTE=Pothead;37699]WHAT no one else staying/ planning on staying at the flying pig??

Hey Pothead,

I'm really thinking of joinng everybody there. Are you guys staying in a room shared with a bunch of other people (that are not apart of the DF crowd)? I am worried about security and the usual worries :)

I'd prefer to book a single private room. Is this a good idea?

hey shockrocket! its a nice place and close to everything!:p

im going to be staying there again at dopestock 09, probably from 16th to the 23rd but i haven't booked yet

last year me and my sister had a private room as we didn't want to share with loads of people we had never meet,

this year it looks like i will be going on my own:eek:

i was thinking if there was enough of us that wanted to share a dorm we could, it would also make it a little cheaper for everyone;) the only thing would be that we would all have to arrive and leave on the same dates or make arrangements for before and/or after, that's just an idea though

as far as security goes everything seems ok, for example, only people staying there are allowed to be there, you each have a swipe card to get in, then again to get into your room, if your in a dorm you get a locker to put your stuff in (you can buy a pad lock there or take your own) there's also a safe behind reception and there's also a room for the day you leave, where if you have to check out and you have a few hours before your plane you can leave your luggage there (the room has a pin number lock which is changed daily and you have to get the number from reception)

"I'd prefer to book a single private room" there are no singles but there are twin rooms;)

if you want to know anything about the flying pig just ask or PM me and i'll help where i can

hopefully see you there!

well cutlerface, go for flights every time! why? if you go by plain then from uk airport to the flying pig its about 5 hours, if you were going by say coach/car and ferry your looking (from Leicestershire) 12-14 hours:eek:ive been there got the t-shirt! NEVER AGAIN! flights will very in price depending on airport but for one return with holiday insurance and luggage about £130, and about £2 each way for the train the other side

as far as booking goes, flyng pig is taking bookings now, and for flights some are and some aren't i know BMI baby from east midlands/birmingham are now taking bookings, if you want to try and make the flights a little cheaper there normally cheaper if you go in the morning you might get the price down to about £100

BMI baby's website = http://www.bmibaby.com/bmibaby/en/index.aspx

however, are you going down to the hemp expo this year??

your welcome cutlerface, if you need anything else just let me know;)

you say you want to do it for about £300, is that including spending money?

well, for £340ish you could get your flights with holiday insurance and luggage, your 2 one way train tickets and 7 nights at the flying pig, then all you need is spending money

if your not sure how much spending money you need aim for €100 a day to include drinks, food, weed, transport + some left over to pay to get into places or to buy gifts etc

i'll type up some prices of things later (it will help you decide how much spending money you will need and give you an idea of prices over there;)

yep i will be there in november BRING IT ON!:p:p
