Howdy!
I was wondering Mr Z, if you there was any comprehensive list of how the various strains of cannabis are better or worse at treating certain medical ailments?
Roughly, I know that Indicas are good for pain relief, and Sativas are good for anxiety, but what about things like asthma, or depression or whatever else there is.
If you've covered this in a show that I haven't gotten to after my return, then oops! But, I think it might make a good show for people who may still be relying on trial and error.

Huge topic, With all the Polly hybrid's out there and everybody thinking they know how what makes a good strain.
The best I can come up with will be adding a medical section here but not just a thread but rather a medical strain guide with recommendations from real medical users. The grow staff will research the plant lineage as best we can.
But that is a future project that must be built and not in a thread but rather a set format sort of a site it's own.
I want to pattern it after what we did with HeatherBud and Cannabisgenitics.com a good strain guide with proper format and information.
Peace
Z

as i try to sleep daily , i am awakened with a searing pain in the rotating area and along the front and down the bicept. i tend to use convienent local suppliers when not growing my own and sometimes there is instant relief but other times it seems i must vape half a day to get relief. i have the different strain tendencys understood, indica for pain and sativa for anti depression. now i wanna know exactly which med strain would work everyday not hit and miss
thx:D

actually queerninja sativas are not good for anxiety. I suffer from social anxiety disorder as well as ADD and man pure sativas will set me off. It actually increases anxiety. So be careful what you procure. If I dont want a mind numbing stone I usually go for a 60 40 mix. anything above 80 will set me off and make me a very unhappy person.
I like mixes there nice. Indicas are better for things like anxiety. sativas are better for depression. sativas make me very paranoid.

Thanks for the info man. This is what I find fascinating. It seems that some people experience different effects between, and within similar samples. Wow, this is really deep.
I'm gonna see if I can find any research that notes THC, CBD and quantity ratios with efficacy. Somewhere in that mixture has got to be a significant distribution of dose, strain and effect. I doubt I'll be able to find any, but this is what I need! Time to get my lab coat on :)

Thanks Hudsonrulez. I wish I'd had access to this information 15 years ago. I had no idea that the different strains had such different effects. This explains why I often cannot sleep after smoking - I thought it was just me.
It's refreshing to hear an alternative to the official bullshit mantra that weed a "gateway drug" and directly causes mental illness.
