Can anyone suggest a good way of drying if I do not have a food dehydrator, and do not feel comfortable building a screen box and light bulb set-up. I heard I could dry in the oven at 110 degrees or less. Any ideas?

Fan dry and desiccant for storage. Easy as pie.

Best way to dry mushrooms of all kinds is to pace them on a cloth on a netting or something to allow air to flow. then place a fan to blow over it. this takes tree to five days depending on the size of the mushrooms and the humidity in the room you use. while you are waiting go to a store and by some desiccant wrap it in some clothe and put in a small bowl, then fill a larger container/box with the almost dry mushrooms and put the small bowl with the desiccant on top of the mushrooms, put on the air tight lid and wait until the mushrooms are brittle. now you store them in a airtight container in a dark and cool place and they will last for ages.
Hope this makes sense and helps
ops zeke0 posted wile I was writing and obviously have the same conviction as me:)

I just throw them on top of the dvd player or something generating some heat. They dry pretty well over night. Just turn them over once in a while.
