The sun was wonderful and warmish today, on this Autumn afternoon, and I decided to get out and enjoy some of the last of the mild weather.

Took some pics and made a couple of movies for you. The route I took took me right through the thick forest, into a clearing that leads on to a deserted railway track in the heart of the woods. I love this route, and in the summer I like to sleep out under the stars in the clearing. I made a video of the clearing part, which has a tree that I call Mother Tree, with a small burn trickling past it. The videos are pretty crap, and the sound is awful, but you'll get the idea :)

The pics can be viewed here:

Videos are taking ages to upload, but I'll get them linked as soon as they're up :)

hehe...man, this is the dream! buy (or make?) myself somewhere small and cozy deep in the forest. slow, deep river with good shallows to fish in. Nice clearing to grow some herb, and herbs, and vegetables. Ah...one of these days :)

Yeh, it's very pretty here man. The winters can get a little baron, and it's not too convenient for the store either, but the benefits of beauty and freshness are awesome.

It's funny, because I really want to leave here and get closer to the city for a while, but I'm finding it so hard to leave it behind.

Time will tell :)

HAHA! No worries BB, it's a pleasure to share it :) I'm not sure about catching glimpses, but you'll sure here the massive splash as I hurtle sidewways into a massive puddle ;)

There were spiders EVERYWHERE inside the pines...They love it in there, as normally there isn't anything tall enough to ruin their webs. So, I had to be really careful trying to maneouver around them. They're only little ones though, no big scary ones that I saw.

I would LOVE to see pics of people's environments, it would be such a treat to see where people call their sanctuaries, that's a lovely idea BB :)

hehe...the sight of me stumbling out of the pines with kaleidoscope eyes would terrify anyone :) Lucky for me, I don't think anyone even knows that my little hideaway is there!

The last time I ate shrooms and went into the pines, I'm pretty convinced that there were some kinds of forest creatures watching me...Well, could be the shrooms. But I feel so connected in there at the best of times, and on shrooms, it feels a lot like home :)

Hey QN,

What wonderful, lovely, fantastic photo's!!! We live in a wonderful forest, but yours seems to be the best of all. I would mark that spot out and then do everything in my power to buy it and build there. I've never seen anything as breathtaking! You are very lucky!!! Enjoy!!!

Thanks Mrs Z :) The sunsets and starry nights out there can be incredible. I love it all, the sight, the sound, the touch and the smell...Ah...lovely :)

I think I'm going to be leaving it soon. That's going to be a little hard, but the pull gets stronger every day towards some other horizon. I guess we'll have to wait and see which horizon wins the battle ;)
