Hello,

If anybody has medicinal experience I would really really appreciate some advice. A dear family friend has just been given a matter of weeks to live after suffering through a horrible period of bone, liver and prostate cancer. Rather than receiving further treatment only to have a rapid crash afterwards, my friend has decided to stick it out with pain killers only. However, these pain killers are having nasty side effects, causing my friend to go through some really unsettling experiences. Currently my friend is taking a cocktail of pain killers, including a morphine derivative "ora-morph" (i'm not sure if that's the correct spelling or not). I'd like to know whether or not cannabis would help to alleviate my friend's pain without giving him these nasty side effects. Any and all information on this will be greatly appreciated. If anybody has any links to elsewhere on the web that might help please post them here aswell.

Thank you very much. X

i think it would definitely help to ease your friend a little blazing.

does your friend smoke?

maybe you could bake it up into brownies (some of the guys here will have a recipe)

i've suffered real bad with chronic IBS and spastic colon syndrome for about 7 years and was also prescribed lots of man made chemical drugs to help, but they didnt help at all. they all had nasty side affects and never actually helped my symptoms they just make your head all heavy and crazy so you kinda forget a little (i can do that with weed)

i also highly recommend looking up any natural remedies for your friends condition that may be available like acupuncture, or supplements of some kind.

2 years ago i stopped taking my prescribed drugs and only took natural remedies and i feel better than i have done in a while (in years 1&2 i was in hospital like 45 times....no exaggeration) this year i've been in hospital once.

im really really sorry for your friend and send my best wishes and hope things get better for him/her.

p.s if your friends taking a morphine based drug it can cause real bad problems with your bowel so maybe get your friend a fibre supplement to help keep thing moving.

here is a small section of a site i found and then some links that might help get you started....hope it helps and good luck.

Natural Liver Cancer Treatment or Prevention
Many herbs and nutrients have an influence on liver cancer prevention and treatment. I will mention a few that I have come across and this liver cancer page will be updated as more information becomes available. Please note that research in this area is minimal and should not be used to forego traditional medical treatment for liver cancer unless your doctor reads this information and concurs with trying some of these supplements. We will need significantly more research in this area of herbal medicine before we can make any statements with confidence regarding the role of herbs in liver support.

Mangosteen is a fruit

Lycium or Wolfberry also known as Goji berry

Cornus Officinalis.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Exactly the same thing going on in my life man, mother of 3 kids losing to breast cancer. I don't want to get involved though - most people around know I toke, so if she ever needs any help, I'd be there. It's dark man, but it happens to all of us eventually, just very cruel when it happens at the wrong time..

well unfortunatly blazing glory I know all to well of losing a friend or family member to cancer. I also know the power cannabis in regard to healing and preperation for the next life if terminal.

I had an aunt die of lung cancer. she was on all sorts of pain killers and even steroids. She would take these and then vaporizor cannabis. It would calm her down and prevent roid rage. It would simply dull pain and keep her food and pills down.

Its part of the reason why I do what I do. I feel for you Blazing Glory I really do. I lost 2 loved ones to cancer in the span of 4 months. Its hell to see people go through this. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Stay strong!
