Hello! Get paid on Friday and going to purchase a new vaporiser. A mate of mine has said his Vapureyes is a good buy and he has used a Volcano classic to. He said that while the Volcano is the best, that this one is not far behind it.
The Volcano is to dear. The Herbal Aire, with postage to me is not far behind the VolClassic. Obviously I want to buy something half decent, so can any body back up or slate my mate? Discretion assured ;)

I was going to get a Vapureyes. My budget stretched to a Volcano, so I went for that with no regrets.
(There are short videos on everyonedoesit for both the Vapureyes and Volcano).
I read a review once by a bloke who said that when the cover (inverted jar-type thingy) gets sticky, he pours warm milk into it to dissolve it, then has a nice happy bed time drink. That sounds rather nice.
Without experience of one, the Vapureyes definitely looks like good value to me. I've not yet heard anyone say anything bad about it.
(Quite why the Vapureyes logo looks whale-shaped I don't know, LOL. Maybe it's just my perception).

ive just spent a few days looking into the vapureyes as it looked pretty decent for its price ,and from what ive discovered it seems its a damn fine piece of kit and that everyone ,hardened spliff smokers included have been totally won over by them ...ok it doesnt offer the bag system but its small and discreet it also has a battery pack that allows 3hrs use away from a electrical outlet ..so its portable too ..i was very suprised when i read about a disabled guy who smokes at least 5g a day in neat joints reducing his consumption down to just under a g a day using the vapureyes ...almost to the point where i went an bought one ..but i didnt ...dont know why just didnt ..they also make a two person version of the vapureyes which is as good as the original ...but i do know that it will get ya good an high just like any other top name vaporisers

Cheers chaps a good spread of thoughts there. I just dont know  The volc will be the best I am certain, but the price difference could be worth the risk
Not going to go for a Herbal aire cuz the price is almost at a volclassic but the tempreture setting on the digit looks class. Thinking.

Thanks Vince I read some stories like this to. I like the bag idea but could probly run the tube out through a bong as well to get the vap real cool.
That 2 person one is the 'Dambuster' :)

im seriously thinking of getting one ...i dont like the idea of splashing out nearly £300 on a volcano ,especially if i dont like vaping ...if i do like the vapureyes the i will no doubt joint the revolution next year ...but from what i can gather if your a neat joint smoker then the hit from vape will be disapointing at first anyway ,no matter what everyone says ,you either like the bite and intstant hit of a j or you dont

this one you can build your self for very Little money, I did only I made a different build. see my tread on home made halogen vapouriser (http://www.thegrowreport.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=3259) But I guess you can do worse in choice of vapourisers if you chose to purchase this one. Halogen light bulbs seems to be a great heat source fore vaporisation.

cyberia maybe you should look around at prices. 250$ for the herbal aire
http://vapenow.com/index.php/herbalAire+Vaporizer+H2.1-p-84/
and 540 for a volcano WITH a solid valve system.
http://vapenow.com/index.php/Volcano+Classic+%2B+SOLID+Valve-p-150/
So the herbal aire's are half the price depending on the retailer your dealing with. HA official web site sells their units for 250.
I'm suspicious of this unit because it looks like just another glass soldering iron unit. Also it retails for just 60 dollars less than a herbal aire. So why cheap out that small amount when you can get a dual use unit. Maybe not as portable but very efficient.
This is also the first time I've heard of a unit so it's probably new to the market.
Best advice I can give anyone is to wait on new units because the older the unit has been on the market the more legit/honest reviews their are to base your decisions on.
Sometimes manufactures of bullshit units log on to boards like these (especially the bigger more established stoner forums) that post bullshit reviews.
Save your money in the meantime. Buying a vaporizer is a major investment in your stoner life. The more you investigate the happier you will be.

I bit the bullet. Full honest review will be posted on this product on Friday
I know this is a risk but have decided that if this thing is crap I will bang the volcano on the plastic and just be poor for a couple of months :D
Hudsonrules thank you for this information :) I could not find a UK sellor and would have to pay $30 postage and possibly import tax as well, so it would be almost as expensive as the vol classic.

Yes sir Vince Noir :) LOL!
At first you think, well this is just a jam jar with a light bulb and a hose shoved in! But everything is well built and solid. Grind your herb and put it on the gauze over the bulb, screw back on the glass jar and wait for 3 minutes. The toke tube is a long piece of clear plastic tubing that leads into the main chamber where there is a bauze layer above the hole so no herb goes into the tube on accidnent. There is a small gun hole at the back of the wood unit that allows air in to the chamber when you breathe in through the tube. The bulb heats the herb, as you breathe you get the vapour in the chamber and draw more heat over the herb to.
The taste is great, but you can only experience it after you stopped sucking in air! You taste the herb and not the crap from tobacco. It tates moist and herbal and I could even taste the smell of the resin. Tasty yum! At first I thought that I needed to use a lot of herb. I didn't :) The high on vapour is much different from smoking cannabis. It is hard to describe but it is a cleaner, fresher more focussed high.
Since you can put smaller and smaller amounts into the chamber, you can get a very slow building high which would be very good for people like me that can sometimes get a bit of anxiety at first smoking. The high is so good :)
I would like this unit to have some extra things.
1> More flexible temprature control. I can lower the heat by riasing the gauze level by rotating the heating element chamber (only when cool of course). But I would like to turn it UP as well.
2> The glass jar is fast to get smeared and cloudy by stains and water vapour (but this could have been since I was sampling some 2 day dried home grown). I would like to see when the vapour was ready better so I know when to inhale.
3> Since the element is 10watts it can't really burn your herb (and I left it on for ages to test this), but it takes a time to fill the chamber. Sharing this with friends could take some time. Would prefer bigger chamber with faster fill time.
Out of everything I think that this is a very good unit. I blew hard back into the chamber to see if there was some loss of visible vapour but saw nothing except from the gun hole.
For the price I think this is great. Now I want to try the Volc to get a comparison, but the Vapureyes is solid, easy to use, tastes great and gets me really wasted. I like it :)

The unit also came with a 3 meter power plug extension cable and a car kit to attach to car through cigarrette lighter.
All the pieces are very cheap to buy replacements if I need to, and even if the glass main chamber breaks I can just use any other glass jar that fits! McGuyver eat your heart out :)

Hudsonrulez it would be so helpful to know what you think compared to other units. Please remember that this is quite new for me :o It is not possible for me to know how this unit is compared to other brands, but just that I like it.

Did you see the original idea for this vapouriser, it shows how flexible these kind of vapourisers is, I do think the builder was more satisfied with the final version. The last picture is my version, it is different but still built around the same Principe, the main thing is they work. I use a 12w bulb and a dimmer as temperature control, but I need to sett it on full power to vaporise the herb. my unit is perhaps not pretty but it do work and to me that is most important, and it is Small and easy to hide. ;)
I wonder if its possible to build a small unit with some sort of battery as power source, perhaps you only have the power to vaporise one herb filling but that is all I need when out walking.

Cereus that is cool! I'm not very good at making things like this, but your version is great. The dimmer idea is good to, so it can help you choose the temperature.

I was practicing in to the small hours last night and discovered that for a build up of high i like 3 minutes of heat and then small breathes. A big vision shaking high is 5 minutes of heat and then big hits. It's a hard life!

Hey man I commend you on giving us an honest review. a thank you to Cerebus as well. I encourage everyone to send in reviews good or bad. I also knew that you were new to this so I took it with a grain of salt.
That being said I remeber reading somewhere that there is a model where there is an attachment for a battery!

A thing I noticed with this unit is how bits of ground herb can jump off the gauze over the bulb. Not a problem but the little bits can then fall further through the filter over the air hole that you breath in from. This could become clogged reducing air flo. After one month I will unscrew the top piece and look inside cleaning if neccessary.
