Hey all,

Shroom season is almost upon us here in the UK but what with the random weather conditions as of late i figure I'm going to go take an early peek at our fungi friends and see if any are about.

I'm sure there are plenty of people looking to pick, maybe for the first time this year so i thought i would post some links to help you identify the most common psilocybin mushroom found in the UK, Psilocybe Semilanceata

Remember, If in doubt throw it out.

Yea man I'm going to go to my spot soon too, it's been wet as fuck here and I just got back from Peru, looking to reconnect with my fungal allies. I love autumn :D:D

Not doing so well this year for shrooms around here, only got about a dozen liberty caps so far but having said that it has been a bit dry recently and its just got wetter so this weekend could be promising. Wish me luck!:)

I'm confused. Liberty caps aren't a wood loving species?

your right. upland pasture is best. pasture of any kind is good. If cow shit is abundent then better. But can appear on any short grassland. Oct till the frosts.

I found these in my back garden after dumping the remains of a failed mushroom grow. The strain I tried was apparently P. Cubensis Thai so I doubt these are anything special, but it seems quite a coincidence that they popped up on the exact spot I put the left overs. Does anybody recognise them?
