I understand that allowing females to become pollinated will reduce production, since resources will go to seed generation, but is the herb that is produced as good as from unfertilized females?

Sup Doubleyouex,

Potency will be affected due to pollination. If you care for it nicely, it will still be some fine bud though. :)

Best,

Steel

It does? Shoot.

I feel that with guerrilla growing the existence of native plants in the vicinity make preventing pollination kind of impossible. The answer I was looking for it: Not really, you'll just get less.

Do you have native male cannabis plants in the vicinity? Other plants won't make seeds. Yes you will get a little less yield as the plant will have to put energy into making the seeds, but the fact that it is an outdoor plant, you'll have plenty to smoke regardless.

Yes, there are native plants in the area, scattered far and wide. A female I grew produced a few seeds, either because I didn't remove a nearby male (one of mine) soon enough, though I think I did, or because a bit of pollen was in the air from the wild plants.

A friend had the idea of purposefully planting his plants among wild plants - to conceal them. Seems like a good idea but of course the females will get completely fertilized. So, he'll get less bud certainly, but will what he does get be good... even as good as unfertilized females?

When I used to buy "Columbian" it was full of seeds but still good. I think the idea of putting plants among wild ones is good.

Thanks to all for your feedback.
