Oz Vape: Sources of Vaporizers in Australia?

Greetings Brothers and Sisters!

I have a friend in Byron Bay who doesn't (yet) know the pleasure of the aromatic, soothing, stony vapors of our sacred sacrament, the Green Goddess, Maria Juanita...

I told her about vaporizers and she's keen to get one--but a quick search online didn't yield any outlets selling them in the Land of Kangaroos, Didgeridoos, and Vegemite.

So...I'm hoping some of our Oz bred'ren - BB, Tirikite T, Samwise G, etc. might have some suggestions.

tell your friend to open her eyes, they're sold everywhere. I've even seen some in smoke shops in shopping centres. :D

seriously, she probably just hasn't been looking for them, because she doesn't know what to look for. most of the online places will ship to Australia, they're not illegal so customs let em through no worries. If not just look around the smoke shops.

Just ask around at some smoke shops like canna warrior said. If they don't have it in, the can order it in..

I was lucky enough to find my Volcano on eBay but it originally came from Freewheelin (http://www.freewheelin.com.au/)' - not sure if they're still open for business but you can always send them an email and check...especially since bongs and stuff like vapourisers are supposed to be banned from sale as others have had some trouble getting a hold of various forms (https://cannabis.community.forums.ozstoners.com/index.php?showtopic=17679&hl=volcano)of it...:confused:

Hey Gang!

Thanks so much for the responses. I should have added that this friend is in her 60s, and may not be as immersed in modern "cannabis culture" as some of you. When I mentioned vaporization to her she hadn't even heard of it before. So...I'll see if she has a head shop in her area and maybe she can start from there. I was hoping she might have a friend with a good vaporizer to try out first. I'm sure she wouldn't go wrong buying a Volcano right off the bat, but that's a lot of money for someone unfamiliar with the scene. On the other hand, nothing will turn a person off of the idea of vaporizing quicker than a first encounter with a shit vaporizer that doesn't work.

hey man i wouldnt recommend smoking or vaping weed, it can lead to terrorism and worse, like, like, ...well i cant think of anything right now because FOX news isnt "informing" me atm. :D

I bought my Volcano from Healthy Smoking Australia (healthysmoking.com.au) - it was much cheaper than it would have been from Storz & Bickel's site - $679 to my door vs $820 or so from storz-bickel.com. Despite being cheaper, the Volcano was still shipped by UPS direct from Germany, and Healthy Smoking also sent me an Australian plug adapter.

If your friend wants to shop locally and get a lower budget product, "Happy High Herbs" sell Vapirs for $200 or something. Their Byron Bay store is near Woolworths on Jonson St. (I've also seen HHH in Brisbane, Maleny and Melbourne. Highly recommended.)
