I'm very interested in starting a sea of green garden and am looking for any hints tips or tricks any help would be appreciated.
some questions I have are; what's the maximum amount of plants that can be put under a single 1000w bulb and still achieve good light penetration?
what should the distance from the canopy and the light be?
Do I still need at least 4 weeks of veg or will the plants grow to large in the SOG?
What size pots should I use?
many more questions to be asked but maybe a future show on the SOG technique could answer the many questions I have.

I have a spare bedroom maybe 10x12x8, Closet Area is 2.5x5x8 thought that might be a good spot for moms, I have 2 smaller closet spaces 2x2x3.5 stacked on top of each other still haven't figured out how I can Vent those with out destroying to much of the area since me and the Missus rent our home, but could be an excellent spot for clones.
On to the next question Dirt or Hydro?
All of my past grows have been soil less mix but I recently built a 2x2.5 ebb n flow table and am excited to put the new Dutch Masters Gold to the test. I am leaning towards building a 3x3 or 4x4 ebb n flow table, I have 1 1000w hortilux hps in a large Square Hood, I also have a 1000w MH ballast that either needs work or a bulb.
What size containers would work best in the hydro setup or soil less mix? 6" Square maybe? or can you do smaller?
Ultimately I would like to see 1/2oz or more per plant just need a little help getting there. for strains I have AK47xGreen Giant, Northernberry, Super Silver Haze, hoping to talk my buddy out of a clone of Green Spirit. I also have the various bagseed collected this past year all should be good considering most people where we live take pride in there GRASS

first off can i clarify you have a 10x12x8 that you want to use as the flowering room? and 2 smaller closet spaces 2x2x3.5 and a closet area is 2.5x5x8 you want to use for clones and mothers?
i spot a bit of a problem, you will only be able to see/ attend clones and mothers when your flowering lights are on (12/12) because your veg lights are on (18/6) that means you have 6 extra hours a day when you can't see/ attend your clones and mothers as light will escape into the flowering room, unless you build some sort of light barrier ie 2x2" wood and black polythene and make like a little hall from the door to the cupboard, or section off a bit in the room and make it the flowering room ie a room within a room
how many plant are you hoping for? the closet area is 2.5x5x8 so you should get a couple of mothers and 15- 20 clones vegged to a releasable size ready for flowering (depending on how big you want to grow them) and that would also mean you wouldn't need the closet spaces 2x2x3.5 which you could use for drying and curing after? also storage
