hello again stoners. I hope I find you all as high as I am :)

Although I've been a daily toker for many years I am only (in the near future) going to be getting to psychadelics. I'm in my 30's, which I guess is a bit older than most people are when they get into these types of drugs? I don't know. What I do know is the human brain does change in the way it functions over the course of your life so I reckon a show devoted to age and drugs would be good.

I know that many psy drug users give up when they get middle aged. Is this because the drugs can no longer do anything for them ie they've developed a tolerance or the experience becomes boring or is it something in the brain chemistry that changes when you get older so that your natural instincts turn to pleasure and comfort rather than risk taking and exploration?

its something I think about sometimes...

cheers and thanks for reading :p

I don't know about psychedelics, but personally I did not even start toking until I was 40. I believed the pharma-hype until doctors could not stop a certain type of pain which I had, and would not give me anything to relieve it. Those strong painkillers are reserved for conservative talk show hosts and daughters of rock stars only. People who are normal, white collar are told week after week, month after month to keep trying different things that the drug company reps are pushing that week to eliminate the pain, but no we cannot ease your suffering in the mean time.

O.K. off my soapbox now.
