Sometime early next year I'll be doing a few interviews with EROCx1 about some of the plants and herbs that are still available to the entheogenic explorer without having to worry about legal issues such as those that surround cannabis and other sacred medicines. If you have any questions about some of these medicines, maybe you can post them on TheGrowReport forums, and we'll pick them up as questions. Thanks Lorenzo, I am looking forward to the interviews. I wanted to start a thread on topic requests for the Salon. Not only for our discussions, but it general. So here it is. What do you guys feel like hearing about?

I would love to hear some Baba Ram Dass. I am sure he would allow some of his recordings to be podcasted. He lives in Maui now and has a website, so contacting him shouldn't be too difficult. Ive been seeking some of his mp3's, but haven't had much luck. I would be more then happy to trade a DVD ROM archive of my collection full of entheogen lectures, workshops, etc for some Ram Dass recordings if anyone is sitting on any.

I’m interested in the deep history of the entheogens, Things like soma and kykeon. An interview with Peter Lamborn Wilson the author of “Ploughing the clouds would” be great in that respect.
And to hear more from Alexander Shulgin would be very much appreciated.
And maybe some interview with some one respected from the Native American church, maybe as a counter weight to all the info on the ayahuasaca and South American shamanism.

I wonder if Paul Stamets would agree to an interview? Not sure if he would speak about Psilocybe mushrooms, but would still like to hear him discuss his theories and ideas about fungi saving the world. I saw a video on Youtube about cleaning up toxic soil using oyster mushrooms - fascinating.

Anything Ayahuasca. Which would be better for me? Trip to the amazon with KMO? (if he would have me of course), or trip to Tihkal and the Mayan pyramids... I'm kind of under the feeling that I might get away with teaching myself the ropes of Ayahuasca. I will say I should be trying it soon. So I suppose I may be answering my own question whether anyone cares or not. Unless of course someone does care, I will consider.
What I am trying to get at...
Could you do a show with someone who tried Ayahuasca alone, and maybe taught themselves. Or any other podcast on the matter, I'd love to see this from as many angles as possible so please ...KMO and MaxFreakout... Maybe we could convert the dopefiend LOL no just kidding on that one, I love the dopefiend just enough the way he is already:)
or point me in the direction of a podcast thats covered this already of course :D
Or something that would solve my entire life crisis right now would be to find myself in a school (college?) for amazonian shamanism or a shaman who could teach me everything I need to know. I would give myself to this, this or forestry, horticulture...?, and herbal medicine (nothing is sure yet, for all I know my life will find the artist edge or rather I'd be more pleased to find the community of unity (PLUR but unity rhymes better:D) I've been looking for all my life)

I'd like to hear some stuff from John C. Lilly. The only audio of him that I've been able to find is for sale only, and at very high prices! Yet another dead hero whose work probably? should be disseminated freely such as McKenna's. . .at least the audio files, you know?
I suppose I could take Robert Anton Wilson of the list but since their is only one from him so far, I'm gonna keep voting that one in!!! ;):D

I'm all for more RAW. I owe a lot to that man.
I'd like to hear more interviews. I really loved the one with Mateo. The personal stuff was a nice change of pace.

Lately i've noticed some of the great minds in the early days of psychedelics (watts, leary, raw)they are really amazing thinkers.. but also traveling in thier circle was the brilliant philosopher Alan Watts, in his talk called "turning the head (on drugs)" he lectures for one hour about the links between psychedelics and religious experience. the talk seems to be given in 1968 at some university, the material was originally written by watts and used in the California Law Review, Vol. 56, No. 1, January 1968. the article is great but the talk is much more fun to listen to. I go so far as to say, it would be a crime for anyone who enjoys the salon to miss this talk.. it's that good. this talk has me convinced that alan watts was definitely the terrence mckenna of his time.

I would love to hear that Alan Watts talk!
Also, does Dale Pendell do interviews? From his books his understanding of sacred medicines is awesomely multifaceted, and it would be great to hear him talk about it.
I'm also always up for listening to Daniel Pinchbeck's current thinking.
And Rupert Sheldrake. Is he too famous to do interviews these days?

I'd personally like to also hear more from both Gary Fisher and Myron Stolaroff, those two guys really had an impact on me via these podcasts. . .
Some Stan Grof stuff would be great as well.

What about that Zoe7 guy? I have to say, out of ALL the Salon's 'casts, the one with Zoe7 in it, really blew me away. It has something to do with how strange the guy seems like he would be if I ever met him. Not to mention it was almost as funny as any Leary 'cast I've heard from the salon. IDK, he just seems to be, at least to me, so unlike the "norm," even within the psychedelic community(which doesn't have too many people who "fit the 'norm.'"
Got any more of that guy Lorenzo?

Galen Brandt, and certainly more female voices on how they feel about 2012
And I would second Dale Pendell, his books are awesome and I loved his talk on Horizon Anarchy

I like all of your ideas. I'd been thinking that in 2012 I'd take the year off, but it doesn't look like I can get everything you want in by then :). ... But over time I hope to podcast most of the people you mentioned. Right now I'm concentrating on finishing my new book, and so I'm doing the easy stuff for now. But once my book is done I'll have the time to do some of the other things, like more interviews and contacting a wider range of guests. ... Thanks again for the suggestions.

I found an mp3 of the alan watts lecture on psychedelics
http://www.imeem.com/shelteringpines/music/Ilhk0JiP/alan_watts_turning_the_head/
during his peak he was the 1960s version of terrence mckenna.

More Leary.
The podcasts you've been playing lately Lorenzo are absolutely hilarious and extremely informative.
Leary clears the blinds of confusion put over a lot of the topics that shape our lives especially regarding our mental freedom and proper uses of psychedelics.
Thanks again Lorenzo.
Peace, best wishes and good vibes to you and your group.
