congrats sir to you and your better half ..now here comes some advise from one parent to another

1,dont believe any other parents when they say their kids slept thru the night from day 1 ..they are lying
2, raise your child YOUR way not the way the rest of your family want
3 share the responsiblity and dont shy away from anything your child does ..be it sick ,poo or any combination of the above
4 as your child grows and they will ,answer every single question they have with a truthful answer no matter how stupid you think the question is ..it will pay dividends
5 avoid smacking ...theres really no need ,when youve mastered your dad voice youll know
6 use your extended family when you need a rest ,they always offer but seldomly enough ..trust me sleep will be a priviledge for you
7do not ignore the mother ,if she says jump then just do it ...
8 breast is best ..for child and dad
9 try and enjoy the first 2 years as much as possible ..youll never get that time back and its only when your kids are teens that the realisation that they arent babies anymore sinks in

Ah the maricle of life! I'm young have only recently realized how much my parents cared and that in actuality I'm always my mom's "lil baby". All I can say is support your child in every choice she makes but dont let her call the shots, love her and show her she is the most special thing in the world to you, and give her boyfriends a chance but make it clear that if he hurts her its on. :mad: Well much love from the South and may your family be filled with good vibes:)
